Blog Post #3 The History of Soundtrack

I made a third post about the relationship between film and music. When the composer John Williams received the 44th AFI lifetime achievement award, he mentioned that film is going to be developed with the art of music.

Films do not have as much history as music but films do have various features which would strike the audience. When producers add soundtracks into films, they become more memorable and meaningful. I found a link about famous soundtracks from 1960s to 2000s to introduce the element of the soundtrack.

In the link above, each soundtrack is created by different purposes for films. Furthermore, each soundtrack picture is depicted within it's own film atmosphere.

There was a silent film created to show up the audience at past. As I'm a movie fan, listening to movie music is another fun way to keep the film in one's memory. Once one has watched film in theater, they would have chance to enjoy it by either watching it again or by listening to the soundtrack. The relationship between film and music is strength that makes the audience experience memorable.

  1. Koichi,
Your blog is very entertaing. I like some of the points you make such as how a soundtrack can help you "relive" a movie or how a soundtrack personifies the theme of a movie. The links are beneficial and appropriate for your posts and the background is not distracting at all. In terms of improvement I did notice that in the first post you have a space in the middle of the word "started" so it looks like, "start ed." Also remember to name the blog posts as "Blog Post #,....." It's in the assignment sheet and could cost you points. :) You have a very nice blog and I look forward to reading more posts.
